Integral ecology
We had inter-faculty seminar on October 17th and 18th 2015 on ‘Integral ecology’ in Holy Trinity Seminary, Jalandhar. We, 14 students along with 6 staff guides represented our college. Fr.P.R John SJ presented a paper on ‘Challenges Faced Today of an Integral Ecology’. Fr K. T Chandy and Sr. Shalini Mulakkal took part in the panel discussion. They spoke on ‘Lines of Approach and Actions for an Integral Ecology’ and ‘Intrinsic Relationship between the environment and the poor’ respectively.
Research Methodology
Pre-Doctoral Students Sr. Rashmi Kanta Kiro and Fr. Jose Joseph attended the ‘Workshop on Research Methodology’ organized by Fr. Felix Wilfred and team at Asian Centre, Chennai, from September 24-26, 2015. 112 Ph. d, M. Phil Students and Professors attended this seminar.
Women Theologians on Writing Skills
Three students namely Sr. Rashmi, Rev. Jyoti Singh and Sr. Arulda were privileged to attend a ‘Workshop for Women Theologians on Writing Skills’ organized by ISPCK, Delhi from November 25-27, 2015. The seminar provided a lot of encouragement and skills for creative writing.
Feminist Workshop
Asian Women’s Resource Centre for Culture & Theology (AWRC) had organized a workshop had organized a workshop in India bringing together women who are interested/ desire to deepen their knowledge about Critical feminist liberation theology in Asia. The dates for the workshop were from 8 June – 11 June, 2015. Sr.Prabina had the privilege of participating in this seminar.
A Dialogue on Influence of Religion on the Place of Woman in the Society
Organized by Missionszentrale der Franziskaner, Bonn-Bad Godesberg, Germany had organized a Dialogue on Influence of Religion on the Place of Woman in the Society on 9 January 2016 at the India International Centre, New Delhi for a group from Germany to help enhance the interreligious understanding of the group. Sr.Prabina was requested to speak on the topic for about ten minutes.
North Indian Theology Students’ conference
Br. Anburaj, S.J. and Sr. Victoria FSLG represented our college at the 53rd NITS (North Indian Theology Students) conference. It was hosted by Allahabad Bible Seminary, from 4-7 November 2015. There were 62 participants from 15 different Colleges of Theology in North India. The theme was “Contribution of the Church to Indian Society – An Introspection”.
